In 2015, our co-founders brought together their legal expertise and a shared belief in making estate planning more approachable. They saw a gap: too many people weren’t creating wills, not because they didn’t care, but because the process felt confusing or intimidating. At the same time, nonprofits were eager to grow legacy giving but lacked the tools and time to do it well.
So, they decided to build something better.
Partnering with behavioral scientists from Duke University’s Center for Advanced Hindsight, they created Giving Docs—a donor-first platform designed to reduce friction, spark generosity, and support nonprofits without adding to their workload.
Today, we’re proud to serve hundreds of mission-driven organizations across the U.S., helping them launch ethical, effective campaigns, uncover previously undocumented gifts, and make legacy giving a natural, trusted part of donor relationships.
We put legacies first—empowering donors and organizations to create enduring impact through thoughtful, strategic giving.
We believe legacy giving should start with what donors truly need—not just what nonprofits hope to raise. When you offer estate planning as a service, you build deeper, more lasting relationships rooted in trust and shared values.
Every part of our platform is informed by behavioral insights from our partnership with Duke University’s Center for Advanced Hindsight. By reducing friction and guiding donors with clarity, we make estate planning feel simple, empowering, and purpose-driven.
We design technology that strengthens relationships between donors and the causes they care about. By turning complex processes into clear, mission-aligned experiences, we help nonprofits inspire generosity that lasts.
In partnership with the Center for Advanced Hindsight at Duke University, we’ve embedded proven behavioral insights into every step of the donor experience. The result is a platform that makes estate planning feel accessible, approachable, and motivating.
Our tools are simple to use and designed with a donor-centric lens. Donors can create a will that protects what matters most—their loved ones and the causes they care about—without confusion or complexity.
We don’t just hand over software. We collaborate with your team to craft thoughtful strategies, support campaign planning, and nurture donor relationships, so legacy giving becomes a natural and sustainable part of your development work.
